Drawing IS a learnable skill. Most people think that the ability to draw is a god given talent bestowed upon a select few. I believe that creating art is an ability that we are all given and that with practice and the right instruction is a skill that all of us can develop.
We all draw when we are children. I wasn't turning out photo realistic drawings as a child. If I was blessed with a "gift", it certainly wasn't being a "natural artist". The gift I was given was simply a love for drawing. That love for drawing made me put in so much time practicing that eventually, through much trial and error, I learned, discovered, and invented techniques that resulted in a quality piece of art.
Drawing is a very fun and rewarding skill to develop. You'll be surprised at how quickly you progress with a little practice. Before long you'll want to frame and hang your art work around your house.
